Overview

The AtkinsRéalis Project Delivery Practice is our centre of excellence for the successful delivery of major infrastructure programmes, bringing together a high-performing and market-leading project management capability.

We deliver some of the UK's most high-profile and transformative projects across our key growth markets, including Water Infrastructure, Defence, Aviation, and Energy.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking Project Managers to join our London-based team and support an expanding and diverse portfolio of work. We are particularly interested in individuals with experience operating within a consultancy environment, and a proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale projects.

This role provides a platform to take ownership, influence outcomes, and build trusted client relationships, while developing your profile within a leading global consultancy. You will be supported by experienced leaders and empowered to make a meaningful impact on project delivery and business growth.

Your role

Leading the delivery of projects from business case development through to construction and handover. Managing programme, cost, risk, and change control, ensuring robust governance and reporting frameworks are in place. Taking accountability for both the technical and commercial performance of projects, including effective contract administration. Leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, including consultants, designers, and contractors, to achieve high-quality outcomes. Providing clear and proactive reporting to Senior Project Managers and Project Directors, including performance insights, risks, and opportunities. Acting as a primary point of contact for clients, building strong, trusted, and long-term relationships. Supporting business development activities, including identifying opportunities for repeat work and promoting AtkinsRéalis' capabilities.

About You

We are looking for motivated and collaborative professionals who combine strong project delivery skills with commercial awareness and stakeholder management capability. Proven experience delivering projects within one or more of our key growth sectors. A strong understanding of project controls, assurance, and risk management, with a proactive and structured approach. Sound commercial awareness, including experience in fee management and financial reporting. Working knowledge of industry-standard contracts, particularly NEC3/NEC4 and/or bespoke contract forms, and experience in their application. Confidence in a client-facing role, with the ability to build and sustain effective relationships. Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing complex stakeholder environments. Professional accreditation or working towards, such as MAPM, MICE, PMQ or equivalent. A highly organised, proactive approach, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
