The opportunity

ADG is seeking an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of the delivery of bespoke security installations within prime and super-prime residential environments.

This is a client-facing, delivery-led position for someone who is comfortable working alongside architects, M&E consultants, main contractors, professional client teams and specialist subcontractors.

Projects will be handed over once the sales, technical design and quotation stages have been completed. From that point, you will be responsible for procurement, programme management, engineering coordination, installation quality, cost control, commissioning and handover.

The role does not require you to sell or independently design security systems. Its focus is on taking an agreed solution and ensuring it is delivered properly: safely, professionally, commercially and to the exceptionally high standards expected within the prime residential market.

Key responsibilities

  • Take ownership of projects following a structured commercial and technical handover.
  • Develop and maintain project programmes, procurement schedules, budgets, risk registers and progress reports.
  • Coordinate procurement, equipment availability, specialist suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Schedule engineering resources in conjunction with the engineering coordination team.
  • Act as ADG’s principal project contact during the delivery stage.
  • Represent ADG confidently in site meetings with clients, architects, M&E consultants, main contractors and other professional advisers.
  • Translate meeting outcomes into clear actions, responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Monitor site progress and identify programme, resource, procurement and coordination risks at an early stage.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality reviews throughout the installation.
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with the approved design, drawings, specification, applicable standards and ADG’s expectations.
  • Produce and manage snagging lists, ensuring defects and incomplete works are closed out promptly.
  • Manage project budgets, committed costs, minor expenditure and commercial performance.
  • Identify variations and ensure additional or changed work is properly documented and commercially authorised.
  • Escalate proposed technical or design changes to ADG’s technical design team for review and approval.
  • Maintain accurate project records, including meeting minutes, progress reports, variations, drawings, commissioning information and handover documentation.
  • Coordinate testing, commissioning, demonstrations, training and final client handover.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely and in accordance with relevant health and safety requirements.
  • Protect client confidentiality and ensure work is undertaken with minimal disruption, professionalism and discretion.
  • Support the resolution of any outstanding defects or post-completion issues.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

About you

You will be an organised and commercially aware Project Manager with experience delivering specialist packages in demanding, high-quality environments.

You do not necessarily need to come directly from the security industry. Experience within prime or super-prime residential construction, high-end AV, home automation, M&E, lighting control, specialist fit-out, building controls or a comparable technical discipline would be highly relevant.

Most importantly, you must understand the standards of workmanship, communication, documentation and discretion expected when working on prestigious private residences and estates.

Essential experience

  • Proven experience managing technically detailed installation or construction projects through delivery, commissioning and completion.
  • Experience within prime or super-prime residential, luxury hospitality, private estates or another high-specification environment.
  • The confidence and credibility to participate in project meetings with architects, consultants, contractors and client representatives.
  • Experience coordinating engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and other project resources.
  • Strong programme management and short-term planning capability.
  • Demonstrable experience inspecting work, managing quality and closing out snagging items.
  • Commercial awareness, including project budgets, procurement, variations, committed costs and margin protection.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, programmes and project documentation.
  • Excellent written communication, meeting management, and reporting skills.
  • A calm, organised and solutions-focused approach when projects change or problems arise.
  • High levels of integrity, confidentiality and professional discretion.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to client sites.

Desirable experience and qualifications

  • A recognised project management qualification such as APM PMQ, PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent.
  • Experience delivering electronic security, AV, home automation, M&E or other integrated technology systems.
  • Working knowledge of CCTV, access control, intruder detection, intercom, perimeter detection and monitoring systems.
  • Awareness of relevant SSAIB requirements and applicable British and European standards.
  • SSSTS, SMSTS, CSCS or other relevant site-management or health and safety qualifications.
  • Experience using project planning, reporting and document-management software.

Deep technical design expertise is not required, as system design will remain the responsibility of ADG’s technical team. However, sufficient technical understanding to coordinate installation activities, identify discrepancies and ask the right questions will be important.

What success looks like

  • Projects remain properly planned, controlled and professionally represented.
  • Installation issues are identified before they become client-facing problems.
  • Engineers receive clear programmes, priorities and information.
  • Workmanship is inspected consistently and snagging is closed out promptly.
  • Clients and professional teams receive accurate, dependable communication.
  • Changes and variations are properly controlled.
  • Projects are completed with comprehensive documentation and a structured handover.
  • Quality is maintained while project margins are protected or improved.

What we offer

  • A high-autonomy role with genuine ownership of project delivery.
  • The opportunity to work on prestigious and technically interesting private residences.
  • A package of £50,000–£65,000 depending on experience, including a car allowance.
  • Private medical
  • The potential for a performance-related bonus linked to project quality, successful delivery and commercial results.
  • Long-term career development within a growing specialist business.
  • Support from established sales, technical design and engineering functions.

How to apply

Please apply with your CV and a brief summary of your experience delivering projects within prime residential, specialist construction, security, AV, M&E or a comparable technical environment.

All applications will be handled in strict confidence.
