Join our team delivering a significant long‑term programme as part of Network Rail’s CP7 Control Period (2024–2029). This £100m framework covers the renewal and reconstruction of structural assets across the Western region—including bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, and wider infrastructure enhancement schemes such as new stations, Access for All (AfA) projects, and station improvement works.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead high‑profile rail infrastructure projects within a live operational environment.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead the successful delivery of framework projects from inception to completion.
  • Manage daily project activities, ensuring programme, quality, safety, and budgetary targets are met.
  • Oversee civil engineering works across structures, bridges, and station schemes (new build, AfA, improvements).
  • Coordinate with Network Rail and wider stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Contribute to work‑winning activities, including bid preparation and framework development.
  • Maintain accurate project reporting, risk management, and compliance with industry standards.

Skills, Experience And Qualifications

  • Experience as a Project Manager within the rail infrastructure environment.
  • Strong background in civil engineering projects, ideally including:
    • Bridges and structural renewals
    • Rail station schemes (new build, AfA, station enhancements)
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a live rail environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including working with Network Rail.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams within a framework environment.
  • Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and industry regulations.
