About Climate Insulation Limited
Climate Insulation Limited is an Energy Efficiency Measures (EEM) installation and retrofit project delivery business, active since 2009. We specialise in delivering EEMs, dwelling retrofit improvements, heating-related measures, and insulation. Fully TrustMark-registered and accredited under PAS 2030/2035, we are expanding into renewable energy and electrical systems, including:
- Solar PV installations
- Battery storage solutions
- EV chargers
- Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) project delivery
The role spans existing EEM and retrofit projects, alongside the growth into sustainable energy solutions.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee and deliver retrofit, renewable energy, and electrical system projects from initial planning and survey stages through to completion, handover, and compliance. Your responsibilities will include budgeting, team coordination, technical oversight, quality control, and documentation, ensuring seamless project delivery while supporting the company’s expansion into clean energy technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Management
- Develop project budgets, timelines, work schedules, and resource plans based on customer, survey, and technical requirements.
- Coordinate project teams, including installers, subcontractors, suppliers, surveyors, and engineers, to ensure efficient delivery.
- Manage site access, customer appointments, installer schedules, and material requirements.

Technical Oversight & Compliance
- Review surveys, designs, and technical documentation (including heat-loss calculations, Solar PV designs, and system modelling software outputs like PVsyst or OpenSolar).
- Monitor quality checks, compliance records, and health & safety requirements at all project stages.
- Identify defects, snagging issues, or technical concerns and coordinate corrective actions with relevant parties.
- Ensure adherence to **our company processes, TrustMark standards, and industry best practices (e.g., PAS 2030/2035, ECO4/Warm Homes Plan).
Documentation & Handover
- Collect evidence for invoicing, project closure accounts, handover records, and audit files.
- Support installer training, SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) refinement, and process improvements.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
** Essential Requirements**
- Degree (or equivalent, e.g., RQF Level 6) in project management, construction, engineering, or a related field.
- Project management qualification (e.g., APM/PRINCE2) or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years’ experience in:
- Retrofitting dwellings,
- Delivery of EEM projects, or
- Renewable energy / electrical system project management.
- Strong technical understanding of:
- Solar PV system design & calculations,
- Battery storage planning,
- EV charger installation,
- Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) systems (basic or intermediate knowledge).
- Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders (installers, customers, suppliers, management).
- Knowledge of compliance documentation, quality assurance, defect management, health & safety records, and project reporting.
- Proficiency with Solar PV design tools (e.g., OpenSolar, PVsyst, or equivalent).

Desirable
- Experience with TrustMark registration, PAS 2030/2035, ECO4, or retrofit funding schemes (e.g., Warm Homes Plan, Boiler Upgrade Scheme).
- Pre-module clean energy certification (e.g., Micro-generator Certification Scheme (MCS), NAPIT, RECC).
- Experience preparing hand-over documentation, audit trails, and post-project reports.
