About the Role

Due to sustained growth and the execution of new planned works programmes, Wates Property Services seeks an experienced Project Manager to spearhead the successful delivery of social housing refurbishment and decarbonisation projects across Herefordshire, covering areas like Hereford and Ledbury.

This opportunity is ideal for a commercially aware, customer-focused Project Manager with experience in planned maintenance works within occupied social housing properties. Priority will be given to candidates skilled in managing Solar PV installations, Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs), and replacement windows/doors.

Successful managers will oversee projects from planning through completion, ensuring safe delivery, high customer satisfaction, and strong commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, mobilisation, and execution of planned works projects.
  • Oversee Site Managers, Resident Liaison Officers, subcontractors, and operational teams.
  • Provide safe, efficient, and compliant project delivery aligned with programmes.
  • Foster strong client, resident, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Monitor commercial performance, budgets, and cost forecasting.
  • Drive KPI achievements and programme performance.
  • Ensure health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
  • Manage risks, propose mitigation strategies, and facilitate successful delivery.
  • Prepare project reports, updates, and stakeholder briefings.
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences across project lifecycles.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
