About the Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to lead structural refurbishment projects within our Major Frameworks team based in Paddington, London. In this permanent, full-time role, you will:
- Support the pre-contracts team by contributing to PQQs and tender submissions, with a focus on buildability, health and safety, and tender programme development
- Coordinate design feasibility studies to ensure high-quality outline designs that meet client expectations
- Manage and oversee project execution, ensuring compliance with Structures Works packages, resources, and safety standards

Key Responsibilities
Your role will include the following critical tasks:
Project Coordination & Governance
- Collate and distribute pre-contract/tender information to the construction team
- Maintain up-to-date budget and programming information at key project stages
- Manage and advise on resource allocation (plant, labour, materials, subcontractors)
- Ensure all road space applications, permits, and approvals are secured and maintained throughout works
- Oversee subcontractor pre-start meetings and documentation reviews before site commencement
Design & Compliance Management
- Review and ensure buildability of designs to improve feasibility and safety
- Coordinate and refine design feasibility studies alongside project teams
- Work closely with Quantity Surveyors and commercial teams to manage contracts (NEC/JCT)
- Draft, coordinate, and finalise subcontract contract documents

Experience & Qualifications
We are looking for a driven and skilled Project Manager with: ✔ Proven expertise in structural engineering, bridge refurbishments, and highways projects ✔ Strong background in NEC/JCT contracts for successful project delivery ✔ Exceptional skills in:
- Resource planning
- Cost and value management
- Stakeholder engagement
- Design feasibility and coordination ✔ Degree-level qualification (or equivalent, e.g. NVQ Level 6, HNC, or HND in a construction-related field) ✔ Full UK driving licence (travel between sites required)
