Project Manager (Payments & Process Transformation)
Location: London (Office-based, 5 days per week)
Contract: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Pay: £392 per day
Hours: 40 hours per week
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a global organisation undergoing significant growth and transformation. This role will focus on driving the evolution of payment operations across multiple European markets, developing scalable processes, improving efficiency through automation, and leading strategic operational projects.
This position is ideally suited to candidates with a background in business finance, analytics, or commercial operations who can combine strong project delivery skills with a data-driven approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of automated payment and invoicing processes.
- Develop and document comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support operational transitions.
- Manage strategic projects including entity creation, billing process implementation, and payment system enhancements.
- Oversee payment processing activities, reconciliations, invoice management, cost validation, and dispute resolution.
- Produce regular reporting and analysis to support business decision-making.
- Drive process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to eliminate manual workflows.
- Collaborate with finance, legal, tax, operations, and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support knowledge transfer and operational handover activities.

What You'll Need
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience delivering projects with clear objectives, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
- Background in business finance, commercial operations, analytics, or a related field.
- Experience designing and implementing operational processes and documentation.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in reporting, reconciliation, and cost analysis.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple teams and functions.
Desirable Experience
- Payment operations or invoicing systems experience.
- Exposure to international or multi-market business environments.
- Process automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience supporting offshore transitions or shared service models.
- Background within logistics, fleet, operations, or complex commercial environments.
