About The Job
The Project Manager is part of the New Business Team, their primary role is to plan, execute and finalize projects according to deadlines and customer expectation. This includes coordinating the efforts of team members and providing regular status updates to relevant stakeholders. Projects are primarily for New Product Introduction, and as such the Project Manager will oversee the entire NPI process from order receipt to Industrialization. They are also responsible for reporting the monthly OTD for NPI parts.
This is an opportunity to shape the future of an advanced manufacturing site that combines cutting-edge materials science with bespoke engineering.
Working Core Days
- Flexi start time of 07:45 - 08:15
- Finish time of 16:30 - 17:15 (dependent on start time) Monday to Thursday
- Friday 8am -12:30 half day
Responsibilities Will Include
- Direct and manage New Product Introduction according to BOP01
- Develop project plans and associated communications documents, when required
- Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve OTD
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and devise mitigation plans
- Ensure the operations team have full visibility of NPI parts and the resource required for industrialised product
- Effectively prioritise NPI projects as necessary
- When required, conduct project lessons learned and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
- Ensure compliance to all system requirements, including AS9100, Health & Safety, ISO14001, 5S, etc

Education And Experience
- Ideally an engineering based qualification or certification; however, candidates with demonstrable and extensive engineering experience may also be considered
- Preferable knowledge and experience in the Aerospace industry
- Preferable knowledge and experience of New Product Introduction
- Minimum of 3 years experience managing projects in a manufacturing environment

Key Interfaces And Stakeholders
- New Business Team - Product Management, Projects, Engineering, Development
- Quality, Customer Services, Purchasing, Finance and Technical team
- Operations team - including production personnel
- TSS Aerospace Commercial, Quality and Logistics Centres
- TSS Aerospace global manufacturing sites
- External Customers and suppliers
Predominately based at TSS Cadley Hill but Global support may be required. Travel to other Trelleborg sites and customers globally may be necessary.
