Project Manager
Project Manager Opportunity – Northern Ireland
Mivan is a dynamic and progressive specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor with a reputation for excellence and innovation. We are currently looking for an experienced and driven Project Manager to establish and successfully coordinate and manage the necessary resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction.
About the Role
Candidates should have:
- Extensive project management experience on new build and fit-out projects (preferably from a marine fit-out background, though not essential).
- A third-level qualification in a related subject or experience in a similar Project Management role.
- Strong commercial acumen, leadership, and people management skills.
- The ability to negotiate and influence.
The role is predominantly office-based in Antrim, but involves travel throughout the UK (and potentially worldwide) to oversee project delivery.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include:
- Developing a project plan and ensuring resources (staff, labour, plant, materials, sub-contractors) are properly organised and on track to meet deadlines.
- Creating a project budget and ensuring delivery is within financial constraints.
- Ensuring project deliverables align with client specifications; keeping all site personnel informed and compliant with project plans.
- Effective stakeholder management, including liaising with clients, their agents, and subcontractors to resolve issues.
- Implementing Company Operations and Safety Management Procedures; maintaining site administration systems for accurate record-keeping.
- Ensuring contractual compliance and mitigating any risk to the contractual position.
- Establishing clear reporting targets, processes, and procedures, monitoring staff performance against targets.
- Tracking financial performance via Cost Value Reports and mitigating costs.

Requirements
Ideal candidates possess:
- Extensive experience in project management for new build or fit-out projects (marine experience valuable but not mandatory).
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- A relevant third-level qualification or experience in a similar role.
- Strong planning, Organisational Ability, commercial acumen, IT skills, and cost awareness.
- Excellent relationship-building skills to foster and maintain successful client relationships.
- Willingness to travel (extensive travel throughout the UK expected).
