Location: Plymouth, Devon + Hybrid Working Arrangements
Compensation: £44,600 - £55,800 Depending on Experience + Benefits

About the Role
As a Project Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be part of the Devonport Infrastructure Directorate, responsible for delivering a wide range of Ministry of Defence (MoD)-funded infrastructure and construction projects, including:
- Maintenance
- Improvements
- Development of new facilities across the Devonport site
Daily Responsibilities
- Manage projects across the full lifecycle, with disciplines ranging up to £4 million in value
- Deliver all aspects of project management, including:
- Planning
- Programming
- Finance
- Risk management
- Control
- Monitoring
- Health & Safety
- Ensure adherence to established procedures and governance frameworks
- Collaborate with departments such as:
- Technical
- Commercial
- Procurement
- Scheduling
- Health and Safety
- Manage assistant project staff (if applicable)
- Produce scopes of work for straightforward projects
This position operates on a full-time basis (35 hours per week) with hybrid working arrangements.
Essential Experience & Skills
Core Requirements
- Project management and delivery experience in building, construction, or related industries
- Relevant knowledge and experience of Health & Safety (H&S) regulations
- Knowledge and understanding of the Association for Project Management (APM) philosophy
- Strong organisation skills and ability to self-manage, produce reports, and generate work-related information
- Competency in Microsoft Office software
- Excellent communication skills; ability to engage with senior management and diverse stakeholders

Qualifications
Preferred (Technical)
Degree in engineering or construction-related subjects (alternatively, an HNC with sufficient experience may be considered).
Preferred (Project Management)
APM qualification, though this may be waived based on demonstrated experience and capability.
Security Clearance
- Requirement: Successful candidate must achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Clearance (SC) for this role.
