Job Summary
CRFS is seeking an experienced Project Manager to spearhead the smooth execution of engineering projects from initial concept to global delivery. As the primary point of accountability, you will bridge the gap between technical complexity and operational excellence, ensuring excellence in every phase.
Responsibilities
Core Project Management
- Steward end-to-end project delivery, ensuring alignment with CRFS’ high standards of quality.
- Lead and facilitate teamwork and coordination between internal resources and third-party vendors.
- Define and manage scope, schedule, and cost, while anticipating and mitigating risks before they impact deliveries.
- Maintain transparent stakeholder communication, delivering data-driven performance reports and resolving variances proactively.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Align Engineering, Product, and Commercial teams to ensure unified project execution.
- Drive clearer workflows and enhanced communication across disciplines.
Quality and Governance
- Ensure all deliverables comply with company processes while upholding strict engineering quality standards.
Resource Optimisation
- Strategically allocate and optimise resource allocation across multiple projects, maintaining productivity in the engineering department.
Requirements
Essential Experience & Qualifications
✔ Proven project delivery record — Successfully taken complex Engineering projects through full lifecycle to production. ✔ Project Governance expertise — Hands-on experience in:
- Risk management
- Compliance
- Configuration management
- Earned value management ✔ Methodological agility — Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with experience adapting them effectively. ✔ Analytical mindset — High attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a data-driven approach to project health. ✔ Technical and communication skills — Proficiency in MS Project and Jira, with confidence in managing stakeholder expectations.

Desirable (Not Mandatory)
✔ Previous experience in:
- UK Armed Forces
- Programs delivered for the UK Ministry of Defence (UK MoD)
- RF or embedded systems industries ✔ Project Management qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) ✔ Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
