Project Manager (Level 1)

London / Bedford

Talented people are the key to our success.

Would you like to join an inclusive and collaborative organisation recognised as one of the UK’s leading infrastructure delivery specialists? We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Project Manager to support the delivery of high-profile, complex infrastructure schemes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to further develop their career and take on increased responsibility within a major rail programme. You will support the delivery of the new Wixams Station, a new-build station on the Thameslink / Midland Main Line near Bedford.

The project is being delivered for Network Rail through the Eastern Routes Partnership and is currently progressing into the ES3 (Option Selection) stage of the Network Rail PACE framework. Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is appointed as the civils and station contractor, with design development forming a key part of the scope.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead the project through the early design stages, ensuring the scheme is fully prepared for successful mobilisation.
  • Manage the design development process in line with the PACE framework, ensuring designs are practical, compliant, and constructable.
  • Embed constructability principles throughout the design phase, proactively identifying opportunities to optimise delivery, improve efficiency, and reduce risk.
  • Lead the procurement of key supply chain partners, ensuring they are appropriately selected and mobilised to deliver against safety, programme, cost, quality, and performance requirements.
  • Work closely with the Senior Project Manager and Engineering Manager to align project objectives and drive successful outcomes.
  • Coordinate effectively with external stakeholders, including Network Rail and SRSA, to ensure seamless project integration and collaboration.
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, and development of the operational delivery team, fostering a high-performing team capable of delivering project success.
  • Ensure strong governance, planning, and coordination are in place to support efficient and safe project delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
