Where will you be working?

At M Group Highways, we’re supporting the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK. We don’t just build roads and bridges- we’re building a better future, creating lasting social value that gives back to the communities in which we work.

You’ll be joining our Highways maintenance team, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes. Want to come and be a part of it?

What will you be doing?

As a Project Manager you will be part of our Efficiency and Performance team who are responsible for programme management across various workstreams, contract wide performance management, quality and business improvement and social value and communications.

You will enable us to meet our key contract aim of ensuring high-quality highway services are delivered for the benefit of residents, businesses, and highway users in Suffolk.

  • Update, review, schedule and report on various programmes across multiple workstreams feeding into the contract wide Contractor Plan
  • Monitor and report on programme performance in line with contractual KPIs producing progress and escalation reports as required, as well as financial tracking of programme deliverables
  • Develop programme management reporting and present to internal and external stakeholders
  • Build effective relationships with senior members of the supply chain and client teams and lead on driving efficiencies in meetings
  • Adopt a proactive approach on the project to identify best practice, implement improvements, gather, and feedback knowledge and inform the team on “what good looks like”
  • Close liaison and continuous communication with Managers/ other Project Managers within the business to ensure efficient operations and best utilisation of all resources to meet estimated outputs, deliver to programme, within budget to achieve correct financial return
  • Liaise with Clients and internal management to ensure compliance with Standards, DSR, Policy & Procedures and Industry Regulations and Legislation
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes are achieved in the planning and delivery of project works

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience of managing client priorities, communication, and expectations
  • Project Management Office experience
  • Experience of Asta Powerproject or alternative planning software
  • Knowledge and experience of partnering with a strong delivery focus
  • Proven skillset in using the Microsoft Office suite, data management and reporting
  • Change management, risk and issues
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal

Desirable

  • Experience of creating and improving Power BI dashboards for performance management
  • Demonstrable experience in the successful project management of construction infrastructure projects
