Project Manager
Neos Networks offers alternative working arrangements that give employees some flexibility, including office, home, and hybrid working.
Location: Reading, Havant or Glasgow (hybrid working 2–3 days per week)
Salary: £40k to £59k (depending on experience) + performance-related bonus + excellent benefits package
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time (37 hours per week)
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join Neos Networks, delivering key projects for a major Utilities customer. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring projects meet commercial and contractual requirements, while also contributing to the expansion, development, and optimisation of the Neos network—consistently exceeding customer expectations.
Reporting to a Portfolio or Programme Manager, you will manage multiple small to medium-sized projects across their full lifecycle—from initial scoping and design through to execution and final handover. You will oversee internal teams and contractors, ensuring effective delivery, governance, and performance across all activities.
Collaboration will be central to your success, working closely with stakeholders across Design & Architecture, Field Engineering, Operations, and Provisioning to ensure business and customer requirements are fully realised.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Project Delivery: Lead the successful delivery of projects within agreed scope, budget, and timelines, operating with a high degree of autonomy.
- Project Governance: Establish and manage robust governance processes, including leading project reviews, kick-offs, and steering groups with internal teams and external partners.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify, track, and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring clear ownership and effective resolution.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships across internal teams, customers, suppliers, and senior stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Customer Experience: Manage customer expectations and ensure delivery meets agreed objectives and standards.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, and compliance with governance standards.
- Financial Management: Manage project budgets, forecasting, and financial performance effectively.

What You’ll Bring
- Proven Telecommunications Project Management experience, delivering small-to-medium scale technology projects across multiple technologies.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels, including senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrable experience of applying project management best practices and driving high standards.
- Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills across internal and external environments.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Experience working within multi-disciplinary project environments, including vendors and partners.
- Knowledge or experience within the Utilities sector is highly desirable.
- A proactive, collaborative approach aligned with company values and a strong team ethos.
