We are hiring a Project Manager to support delivery of the ARCs Programme. The establishment of a national Assessment and Recovery Centre (ARC) will extend equitable access to life-saving products and treatments to everyone that needs them, helping to bridge the gap between shortage of organs available and demand.
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with exceptional stakeholder, communication, and analytical skills. If you are adaptable, have a get‑it‑done mentality, outstanding organisational skills, and the ability to make decisions under pressure, this role could be for you.
Main Duties of the Job
As a Project Manager, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team to lead projects that deliver essential change benefits to help improve and save lives, supporting senior business leads. The post holder will be expected to lead a number of standalone projects or projects with a programme.
The Duties Will Include
- Be accountable for full projects life cycle, in line with NHSBT standards and delivery methodologies, by leading on governance, design, planning and implementation of projects to achieve the project outputs and expected benefits within agreed tolerances.
- Be the subject matter expert on all aspects of the relevant project, supporting and contributing to the overall delivery of a standalone project or a programme, including the development of a business case.
- Lead and motivate a diverse and multidisciplinary project team by ensuring the team members, understand their role in the project and are best placed to deliver assigned projects tasks/outputs projects.
- Be accountable for ensuring appropriate and proportionate governance and control over the project, including minimising risk/issues to deliver successfully.
- Inform the efficient use of resources, through regular monitoring, tracking and visible reporting of resource usage, including budgets.
- Track, monitor and produce high quality and fit for purpose progress reports that drive timing decision making, meeting audience needs including for CPMO.
- Ensure accurate and open communication and co-ordination with a range of organisations, suppliers and individuals, enabling effective engagement and contribution to deliver required project outputs and benefits.

About You
Experience and Knowledge
- Significant experience in the day-to-day management of projects, including planning,, risk and issue management, and business readiness.
- Proven knowledge and experience in effectively closing projects and embedding lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.
- Experience in implementing organisational policies within a project context and contributing to the development of new policies or services.
- Experience of managing budgets and forecasts for projects and managing procurement of assets and supplies.
- Knowledge and practical experience of the '5 Case Model' for business cases.
- Knowledge of change management and experience of supporting people through complex change
- Advanced Key board skills
Qualifications And Training
- Educated to Master's degree level in a relevant subject, or demonstrable knowledge and experience equivalent to a Master's level.
- PRINCE2 Practitioner certification
- Agile training or an Agile DSDM qualification.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing Continued Professional Development (CPD).
