Project Manager L2
Job Summary
The Project Manager L2 is responsible for leading projects to deliver agreed outcomes within time, cost, and quality requirements. They guide and coordinate with all relevant stakeholders to understand and deliver project objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing daily management and leadership of the project and team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and report to the Project Manager L1 or Senior Project Manager on all construction, programme, and commercial aspects.
- Coordinate between construction, design, procurement, and commercial departments to ensure sub-contractors progress work according to the schedule of works.
- Ensure client requirements are met by delivering quality, assurance, and compliance documentation on time, collaborating with relevant parties.
- Create and enforce SMART targets for a high-performing team, aligning with performance management processes.
- Monitor works to achieve right-first-time delivery, conduct lessons-learned reviews, and maintain daily records.
- Support construction teams with technical and engineering aspects, including method statements, site plans (ITPs), construction processes, quality control, and compliance.
- Track project progress, reporting on actual costs, forecasts, and highlighting issues and risks for resolution.
- Develop and manage readiness plans (e.g., permits) before activities commence.
- Arrange required project technical services and external resources.
- Oversee timeframes and budgets, identifying risks, challenges, and mitigations to ensure successful delivery.
- Attend and document meetings, including regular site walks, providing stakeholders with actionable insights.
- Partner in risk management and mitigation treatments, ensuring project changes are tracked and formalised within agreed timelines.
- Ensure handover documentation is ** coordinated and delivered** by practical completion.
- Collaborate towards net-zero goals, identifying and managing carbon emissions reductions during project delivery.

Qualifications, Certifications & Experience
- Proven experience in project management, handling small to medium-sized projects.
- MCIOB/MAPM/MRICS/MICE (or equivalent training in progress).
- Construction delivery-phase experience (core for this role).
- Applicable Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card (or local equivalent).

- Specialised knowledge and expertise in project/role-specific methodologies.
- Strong communication, presentation, and project-planning skills, using relevant tools.
- Developed budgetary oversight capabilities.
- Advanced stakeholder collaboration, coordination, and influencer skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Proven expertise in project management frameworks and construction sequencing.
- In-depth knowledge of HSE and sector-specific regulations.
- Ability to promote and apply DfMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly), including off-site fabrication.
