Ashtead Technology Project Manager Role

Ashtead Technology is seeking a motivated Project Manager in Turriff to support our growing Mechanical Solutions service line. In this role you will deliver complex, high-value projects from contract award through to completion, driving exceptional outcomes for clients while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget while developing strong client relationships and championing our company values.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • End-to-end delivery of multiple medium and large-scale projects, ensuring contractual, technical, commercial, and operational objectives are achieved.
  • Develop project plans, resource requirements, schedules, and delivery timelines, proactively managing risks, priorities, and key milestones.
  • Manage project budgets, financial performance, invoicing schedules, change control, and variation opportunities to maximise project success and profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, offshore personnel, and key stakeholders, ensuring expectations are met and communication remains effective throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, equipment mobilisation, testing, logistics, and offshore support activities to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with project governance, contractual obligations, company procedures, and financial controls, escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Oversee project documentation, reporting, technical specifications, offshore information packs, procedures, and project tracking systems.
  • Support client meetings, technical proposals, tender activities, and continuous improvement initiatives through customer feedback and project reviews.

What experience you'll bring:

  • Proven project management experience within an engineering, offshore, or related industry environment.
  • Experience managing complex equipment projects, including modifications, testing, mobilisation and demobilisation activities.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical handling equipment and the ability to interpret technical specifications, develop project plans, and coordinate project execution.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to motivate teams, build strong working relationships, and support the development of others.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to support operational teams when required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Qualifications in Project Management and/or Engineering are desirable and will support success in the role, as well as experience working offshore, specifically with Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical or PLC systems.
