Role: Project Manager

Hybrid Role in Vienna, VA

Description

Plan, manage, and execute all aspects of project life cycles from initiation through implementation. Develop project plans and deliver solutions on schedule and within budget to support service innovations, organizational initiatives, and process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from initiation through implementation.
  • Define, develop, and execute project plans, including scope, objectives, activities, schedules, resource requirements, and cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements.
  • Manage projects through planning, analysis, design, testing, implementation, and transition phases.
  • Align project objectives with organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead project teams by coordinating work plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and training.
  • Manage project budgets and assess the impact of changes to project scope and timelines.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and constraints.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve cross-functional issues that may affect project delivery.
  • Maintain and archive project documentation.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet customer expectations and agreed-upon quality standards.
  • Establish and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure compliance with project plans, schedules, and organizational standards.
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve project issues while maintaining quality and delivery timelines.
  • Monitor risks and ensure project goals are achieved within established timelines.
  • Facilitate project team and stakeholder meetings to resolve issues and drive progress.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to management.
  • Work closely with Procurement regarding vendor contracts and project-related purchasing activities.
  • Define and manage contract scope, deliverables, contract administration, change management, and contract closeout activities.
  • Manage contract quality assurance, budgets, and cost control mechanisms.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project management activities.
  • Secure project resources and ensure optimal utilization within budget constraints.
  • Assign project responsibilities, establish accountability, manage staffing changes, and coordinate training plans.
  • Communicate project plans, changes, priorities, and direction to stakeholders.
  • Establish team objectives, review work products, and provide performance feedback.
  • Promote team collaboration and professional development.
  • Manage multiple, large, and complex projects simultaneously.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of departmental policies, standards, and processes.
  • Provide guidance on complex issues impacting departments or the organization.
  • Resolve highly technical and complex project challenges.
  • Negotiate with leadership and stakeholders to achieve project objectives within budget and schedule constraints.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, quality assurance, budgets, and cost management.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Extensive project management experience leading multiple, large, and complex projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of project life cycles, project management methodologies, and business requirements analysis.
  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships across business units and organizational stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience leading, mentoring, and guiding teams in dynamic environments.
  • Strong understanding of contract management and its impact on project delivery.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Experience working within financial services organizations is preferred.
  • PMP Certification (or equivalent project management experience) preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve project goals and deliver measurable results.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience directing complex project activities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Advanced degree in Business, Management, Economics, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
