Equans is looking for a Project Manager to join our team working on our Birmingham Schools and Dudley LIFT contracts on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, car allowance and benefits package.
What will you deliver?
The Project Manager will be covering the Birmingham area, providing both a technical & delivery lead around asset management and Project delivery of the Lifecycle plans & Variations on Healthcare and Education sites
- Being responsible for leading on any key technical disciplines that relate to Building infrastructure, Mechanical & Electrical systems associated with a Healthcare premises
- Proactively engaging with our own internal teams and our FM suppliers to identify assets that fall short of any contractual maintenance requirements and assets that need to be replaced within the 5-year lifecycle plan
- Technical support on any lifecycle works, highlighting to the local teams any relevant requirements to comply with best industry practise’s which are associated with relevant Regulations, BS standards, best industry standards such as SFG20 and HBNs/HTM guidance, this will need to be illustrated within the scope of works that the Project Manager creates
- Support a culture of responsive monitoring, by working closely with our third-party FM supplier, showing accountability for the management of notifications and the day-to-day engaging constructively with other internal departments such as the Commercial or Central Lifecycle Teams

Who are you?
- In-depth knowledge and experience of relevant processes and procedures relevant to the role, including quality assurance requirements, techniques and processes
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of building fabric and M&E disciplines across the healthcare, sectors
- Substantial understanding of relevant Department of Health, Regulatory and Legislative issues
- Having a time served technical background in electrical, mechanical or a building discipline
- Commercial and financial awareness with proven knowledge of budgetary control
- Qualified to HNC or equivalent in engineering discipline
- Accredited to either NEBOSH or IOSH and Holds SMSTS
- Understanding of the ISO 15001
- Able to travel to meet the needs of the role requires
- Educated to degree level (Desirable)
- Asset Management Diploma (Desirable)
- Demonstrable technical experience in complex operational PFI contracts (Desirable)
This role includes a DBS Enhanced with Barred Lists check therefore ability to pass is essential.
