THE TEAM
JSM Group is a leading utilities infrastructure provider delivering complex digital infrastructure and civils projects across the UK. As part of our continued growth, we’re on the lookout for a Project Manager.
SCOPE OF ROLE
As a Project Manager within our Digital Infrastructure division, you’ll take full ownership of delivering fibre and network infrastructure projects from inception through to completion.
Reporting into a Senior Delivery Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing programme, cost, quality, and safety across multiple projects. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, commercial awareness, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve successful outcomes.
HOW YOU’LL SUCCEED
- Manage end-to-end delivery of digital infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
- Lead and coordinate site teams, supervisors, and subcontractors
- Develop and manage project programmes, tracking progress and performance
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Oversee project costs, including forecasting, reporting, and managing variations
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues proactively
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting on project performance
- Work closely with commercial and operational teams to drive project success

WHAT IT TAKES
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within digital infrastructure, fibre, or utilities infrastructure
- Strong understanding of fibre network build, PIA, and digital infrastructure delivery frameworks
- Solid commercial awareness, including cost control and reporting
- Experience managing multiple projects and teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, programmes, and project documentation
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Full, valid UK driving licence and access to a car is essential for this role due to regular travel requirements between sites
- SMSTS certification
- Valid CSCS card
- NRSWA (desirable)
- Prince2, APM, or equivalent project management qualification (desirable)
