About the opportunity
Following continued success and growth, our electrical operations team is hiring a Project Manager to lead delivery of electrical and Electric Vehicle (EV) infrastructure projects throughout the UK (ranging from £50k - £2M). The role ensures electrical installation projects are completed on time, meeting budget requirements, and delivered as per approved design, specification and safety requirements. In this role you will lead multi-disciplined teams, manage contractors and direct labour resource, liaise with clients, colleagues and other operational departments throughout all relevant stages including design, procurement, construction and commissioning.
Work location
We are open to UK wide applications, and happy to offer a fully remote working pattern.
What you'll do
Project manage the planning, documentation, sourcing, monitoring and delivery of multiple electrical / EV installation projects, while steering our safety culture through visible safety leadership, ensuring adherence to all relevant health & safety policies, industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical and EV installation works by coordinating site installation teams and subcontractors.
- Promote and protect the TSG brand on projects where TSG UK operate as both principal contractor and sub-contractor, dependent on project requirements.
- Manage the commercial performance of projects based on your sound knowledge of contractual commitments and budgets.
- Multi-stakeholder engagement, incl. various departments, colleagues, customers/ clients, sub-contractors and other professional parties.
- Monitor, forecast and report on project financials, including monthly invoicing and sales forecasts, cost reports and report as required to operations director / finance team.
- Check and vet the quality of suppliers and sub-contractors and negotiate cost-effective prices in line procurement requirements.
- Plan and control the preparation of electrical sites / works prior to commencement of works and throughout project lifespan.
- Provide construction / electrical installation work schedules / programmes at each project stage and monitor progress against agreed completion dates and milestones
- Perform regular site visits and chair meetings.
- Complete audits, inspections and progress reports.

Skills and attributes required
(Essential):
- Strong experience of electrical installation management of commercial, industrial and/or EV installation projects, with awareness of civil works requirements
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics and specifications.
- Effective IT skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Project
- Commercial awareness - the ability to make sound commercial and contractual decisions
- Flexible to the needs of the project, able to modify approach when required
- Full current UK driving license

(Desirable):
- Experience of working on multiple projects at any one time
- H&S experience and / or qualification
- Experience/ understanding of principal contractor role
- Commercial EV installation project management experience
- Formal project management qualification

- Salary range of £55,000-£62,500 (based on experience level)
