Project Manager

Project Manager – Construction

Role: Project Manager Construction Salary: £60,000 – £75,000 per annum plus progress, growth, and bonus Type: Full-time Location: Cobham, Surrey Company Type: Established main contractor specialising in high-end and prime residential refurbishments/new builds


About the Company

The company delivers high-end and prime residential refurbishments/new builds, primarily in London and Surrey, with budgets ranging from £1M to £8M. Their projects often involve complex high-end finishes and a mix of refurbishment and new-build work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee £1M–£8M high-end residential refurbishment projects, including both standalone refurbishments and hybrid new-build/refurb schemes.
  • Manage and coordinate:
    • Professional services ( Architects, internal consultants, etc.)
    • PQS (Pre-Qualified Suppliers) and subcontractors
    • Third-party vendors and site activities
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure timely compliance, quality, and cost control.
  • Travel to the Cobham office with periodic site visits as project requirements demand.

Requirements

Technical & Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience managing construction projects, especially high-end residential refurbishments (budgets £2M+).
  • Strong expertise in complex refurbishments with bespoke, high-end finishes (Carpentry, joinery, interior detailing, etc.).
  • Degree/training in construction management, architectural technology, or a related construction-related discipline (beneficial but not essential).
  • Proven ability to manage cost, time, and scope for projects of this scale.

Soft Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills, with a focus on clear, actionable stakeholder updates.
  • Proficient in people management, able to lead and motivate multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Programming experience (MS Projects/Planner or ASTA Spatial 4D).
