Role Overview
Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is working with Wessex Water under the YTL Framework to deliver a range of water infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects. These works are key to ensuring sustainable, high-quality services for communities across the region.
We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of Water projects from conception through to completion. You will be responsible for scope, budget, programme, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, ensuring all works are delivered in line with Morgan Sindall’s Perfect Delivery philosophy.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of projects to scope, budget, programme, quality, and safety standards
- Manage design, engineering, construction, commercial, and handover phases
- Implement risk management and value engineering processes, identifying risks and cost-saving opportunities
- Provide clear direction, motivation, and leadership to project teams, consultants, and contractors
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, driving continuous improvement
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, presenting updates to key customers and stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, proactively addressing needs and ensuring satisfaction
- Implement Morgan Sindall’s systems, policies, and procedures to maintain compliance and manage risk
- Champion service excellence, sustainability, and best practice across project delivery
- Manage suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring strong performance and relationships
- Review and approve project management plans, health and safety plans, and method statements
- Support business planning, bid development, and growth opportunities within the framework
- Coach and develop project staff, fostering a high-performing, motivated team

Skills, Experience And Qualifications
You will be an experienced Project Manager with a strong track record of delivering complex construction or infrastructure projects.
You will bring:
- Excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills
- Strong leadership and team management experience
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects to a high standard of compliance and quality
- Sound knowledge of the construction industry, particularly within water or utilities
- Ability to meet specifications, standards, and targets in a regulated environment
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in budgets, forecasting, and reporting
- Excellent negotiation and diplomacy skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders

Our Water team designs, builds, and maintains vital UK water infrastructure, ensuring secure water supply and wastewater services.
We work with major water companies to create resilient facilities, reduce flood risks, and improve environmental outcomes. Currently, we are involved in the Welsh Water AMP7 and AMP8 frameworks and have secured projects with Wessex Water for the next five years. These long-term framework agreements are part of a national £88 billion investment, requiring a collaborative and agile approach to meet the industry's challenges.
Our Highways team delivers comprehensive services, from major national projects to local schemes, improving road journeys for millions daily.
With expertise in tunnelling, bridges, and more, we provide end-to-end project support, including design, integration, and construction. Current projects include concrete road replacements for National Highways, smart motorway safety enhancements, and widening the A423 for Oxford City Council.
