Project Manager - Facilities & Infrastructure

About the Role
As a Project Manager at JCB World Headquarters, you’ll lead the successful delivery of a diverse range of construction and infrastructure projects across the business. Working closely with internal stakeholders, external consultants, contractors, and suppliers, you’ll manage projects from initial concept through to completion, ensuring delivery that is:
- Safe
- On time
- Within budget
- Of the highest quality standards
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated project professional with construction experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll play a key role in supporting JCB’s continued growth, delivering facilities and infrastructure projects that enable our operations and future success.
Key Responsibilities
Management & Execution
- Managing the full lifecycle of construction projects, from feasibility and design through to completion and handover
- Developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements
- Managing the pre-construction and construction phases, ensuring projects align with agreed timescales and objectives
Risk & Compliance
- Identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements
Stakeholder & External Relations
- Procuring and managing suppliers, contractors, and professional service providers
- Coordinating and managing third-party design teams, ensuring they deliver against agreed programmes and project milestones

Design & Cost Management
- Producing simple design concepts and solutions where required
- Monitoring project costs and maintaining financial control throughout the project lifecycle
Quality & Safety Assurance
- Establishing and maintaining quality standards to ensure successful project delivery
- Ensuring JCB’s health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld
Leadership & Communication
- Collaborating with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements
- Providing clear project updates and managing expectations across all levels
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives through lessons learned and best practice implementation
Travel Requirements
- Travelling to JCB facilities and project locations as required.
Ideal Candidate Profile
This role will suit you if you have:

Proven project management experience within a construction environment
-
A strong understanding of:
- The construction project lifecycle
- Risk management
- Contract administration
-
Experience delivering projects that meet agreed:
- Timescales
- Budgets
- Quality standards
-
Strong planning, scheduling, and coordination skills for managing resources across multiple projects

Experience managing suppliers, contractors, consultants, and external design teams
-
Leadership skills to effectively coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Excellent communication, including the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels

Problem-solving and decision-making skills to manage ambiguity and changing priorities with confidence

Highly organised with exceptional time management and project coordination abilities

Strong commercial awareness and financial management capability

Experience in operational, industrial, or manufacturing environments

Experience using CAD or similar digital drawing software (or willingness to develop these skills)
