Civils Project Manager – Data Centre Project

Location: Blyth, Northumberland

Salary: £90,000 – £95,000 + Benefits

A leading construction contractor is seeking an experienced Civils Project Manager to join a major data centre development in Blyth, Northumberland. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile project, managing the delivery of key civils and groundworks packages from pre-construction through to completion.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for overseeing site operations, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of civils and groundworks packages across a major data centre project
  • Oversee daily site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and within budget
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, and site teams
  • Manage quality control, inspections, and compliance with project specifications
  • Monitor progress against the construction programme and drive delivery of key milestones
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and quality requirements
  • Provide leadership and support to site teams to maintain a positive project environment

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale civils projects as a Project Manager
  • Strong background in groundworks, earthworks, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure works
  • Experience on data centre, industrial, energy, or large commercial projects preferred
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, programming, and site management
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Relevant construction qualification (Degree/HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent)
