Project Manager (ALN School projects)
Role: Project Manager
A well-established local authority is seeking a Project Manager to support the Capital Delivery team, focusing on a diverse portfolio of Additional Learning Needs (ALN) school projects, including new builds, extensions, and refurbishments.
This is a 6-month temporary contract with a potential progression to a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the delivery of ALN school projects from inception to completion, ensuring high standards and timelines.
- Coordinate new builds, extensions, and refurbishment schemes while maintaining safety, cost efficiency, and quality.
- Collaborate effectively with contractors, consultants, internal teams, and senior stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
- Assist in procurement activities, project planning, and budget management.
- Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and health & safety requirements.
- Monitor scheme progress, track deadlines, and provide regular updates to senior leadership.

Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in Construction, Project Management, or a related property discipline.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with senior decision-makers.
- Understanding of construction project delivery and contract administration.
- Proactive, adaptive, and eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience within the public sector or local authority.
- Prior involvement in education or school infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with CDM regulations and construction safety standards.
