Job Description Due to continued growth across the Energy & Natural Resources division, we are seeking early‑career Project Managers to support key workstreams on major infrastructure and electrical projects. This role offers the opportunity to work within a diverse and supportive team delivering critical energy programmes for a leading client. You will assist senior project managers and take ownership of defined packages of work, contributing to safe, compliant, and successful project delivery. Candidates will be required to be present in our client office or site 2/3 days per week.
Job Objectives
Project Managers in this role work on commissions of varying complexity across infrastructure and utilities projects. You will operate with growing independence while having access to wider technical and project controls expertise across the Turner & Townsend team. As the Project Manager you will be responsible for: Support the management of NEC contracts (Options A, C, E) across design, early works, and construction phases, ensuring effective contractor oversight. Coordinate design information and technical inputs during pre‑construction, maintaining accurate information flow between designers, suppliers, and site teams. Track and update programme, cost, risk, and progress data, contributing to clear reporting and informed decision‑making. Prepare and maintain project documentation, schedules, and reporting packs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with governance requirements. Monitor compliance with project success criteria including time, cost, quality, safety, and technical standards — particularly those relating to electrical infrastructure. Support risk identification and mitigation planning, feeding into project controls processes. Engage with clients and stakeholders, supporting communication across engineering, delivery, commercial, and site teams. Support internal project processes, including resource coordination, documentation updates, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Degree‑qualified in a relevant discipline. Working towards a professional qualification (e.g., APM, MCIOB, ICE, IET). Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks or workstreams. Eligibility to obtain BPSS security clearance. Experience working on infrastructure, utilities, or construction projects (Desirable). Exposure to HV/LV electrical systems or electrical infrastructure works (Desirable). Strong organisational and communication skills, confident working with multi‑disciplinary teams. Ability to travel regularly to northern Scotland as required.
