Project Manager - Application Migration

Inside IR35 - 6 Months - £500 per day - Wiltshire - 3 days a week onsite

I'm currently supporting a defence client who is looking for an experienced Project Manager to help drive the migration of a complex business application estate.

The ideal profile will come from a technical infra background who has moved into Project Management. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical understanding with stakeholder engagement and programme delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead application discovery, analysis and migration planning activities
  • Engage with business stakeholders and application owners to coordinate migration and test plans
  • Analyse application architectures, dependencies and connectivity requirements
  • Understand and document application hosting, infrastructure and data flows
  • Manage migration risks, issues, governance and reporting
  • Create technical dependency diagrams and migration documentation
  • Drive safe and controlled change through strong security and change management practices
  • Provide updates and recommendations to IT leadership and business stakeholders

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
