Project Manager - Application Migration
Inside IR35 - 6 Months - £500 per day - Wiltshire - 3 days a week onsite
I'm currently supporting a defence client who is looking for an experienced Project Manager to help drive the migration of a complex business application estate.
The ideal profile will come from a technical infra background who has moved into Project Management. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical understanding with stakeholder engagement and programme delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead application discovery, analysis and migration planning activities
- Engage with business stakeholders and application owners to coordinate migration and test plans
- Analyse application architectures, dependencies and connectivity requirements
- Understand and document application hosting, infrastructure and data flows
- Manage migration risks, issues, governance and reporting
- Create technical dependency diagrams and migration documentation
- Drive safe and controlled change through strong security and change management practices
- Provide updates and recommendations to IT leadership and business stakeholders

We're looking for someone with experience in:
- Application migrations and transformation programmes
- Server infrastructure, hosting environments and data centres
- Networking fundamentals (IP, routing, WAN, firewalls, connectivity)
- Technical architecture and dependency mapping
- Business continuity, disaster recovery and application resilience
- Stakeholder engagement and management
- Change management and governance
- Technical project or delivery leadership
