Project Manager – Industrial / Commercial Newbuild Projects (Newcastle)

A critical opportunity has opened for a Project Manager to join a rapidly growing main contractor supporting high-value infrastructure projects across the Northeast region.

About the Role

The Project Manager will lead a portfolio of projects for one of their key clients, delivering industrial/commercial newbuilds, shed-style structures, and associated civil works and hard landscaping—with individual project values up to £5m.

The role begins with a 35-week project in Gateshead, followed by transitions to other schemes upon completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership

    • Responsible for end-to-end project delivery across the Northeast region.
    • Manage a series of field-based projects within schedule and budget.
  • Project Execution

    • Lead newbuild commercial construction, including structural steel frameworks and brownfield civils (drainage, access, landscaping).
    • Work closely with subcontractors, onsite teams, and client representatives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
