Roma Finance – Project Manager (6 Month FTC)
Location – Manchester City Centre

Salary – £50,000 - £60,000
Working pattern – We operate a flexible hybrid working model, for this role you are expected to work in our Manchester based office 2 days a week.

The role
As Roma continues to grow and invest in technology, we are looking for an experienced and delivery-focused Project Manager to join us on a 6-month fixed-term contract and lead key business and IT development projects across the organisation.
This role is ideal for a highly capable Project Manager who can quickly understand our business, establish strong stakeholder relationships, and take ownership of projects from day one. We are seeking someone who can hit the ground running, bringing proven experience of successfully delivering IT and software development projects.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Planning
- Manage projects from initiation through to delivery, ensuring clear objectives, accountability, and alignment with business priorities.
- Deliver a significant IT platform transformation programme, leveraging Agile methodologies and focusing on automation, API integration, and AI capabilities.
- Develop and maintain project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, dependencies, and key deliverables.
- Ensure projects are delivered to agreed quality standards and in line with business requirements, governance processes, and regulatory expectations.

Stakeholder Management & Governance
- Build strong relationships with ExCo members, project teams, and stakeholders across the business.
- Work closely with external stakeholders, including third-party suppliers, to gather requirements, support decision-making, and drive successful outcomes.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and steering groups, helping to maintain momentum, resolve challenges, and remove barriers to delivery.
- Own project governance, reporting, documentation, and communications, providing clear updates on progress, risks, dependencies, and key milestones.
Project Management & Change Delivery
- Use JIRA and other project management tools to manage workflows, backlogs, delivery activities, and project reporting.
- Lead requirements gathering and documentation, working with subject matter experts to translate business needs into practical solutions.
- Support the Change Team with projects already underway while taking ownership of new initiatives as required.
Continuous Improvement & Capability Development
- Identify opportunities to improve project delivery, operational efficiency, and business outcomes.
- Help develop project management standards, governance frameworks, and best-practice delivery approaches across the business.
- Contribute to building Roma's project management capability by establishing consistent and scalable ways of working.

Person Specification
Qualifications:
- A recognised project management qualification, such as PRINCE2 Practitioner, AgilePM or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), would be desirable
Experience & Attributes:
- Experience in a Project Manager role delivering business and IT development projects.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering technology and software development projects.
- Strong experience using JIRA and project management tools.
- Experience working with Creatio or similar CRM/workflow platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Highly organised with strong planning and prioritisation capabilities.
- Able to work independently and take ownership of projects from day one.
- Proactive, resilient, and solutions-focused with a strong delivery mindset.
