Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in the Banking and Financial Services (BFSI) domain to lead and deliver large-scale business and technology transformation projects. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing cross-functional teams, engaging senior stakeholders, and delivering complex banking initiatives on time, within scope, and within budget.
The successful candidate should have expertise in project governance, Agile and Waterfall methodologies, risk management, and regulatory compliance within the banking sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of banking projects from initiation through closure.
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
- Manage multiple workstreams across business and technology teams.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, developers, QA, and infrastructure teams.
- Track project progress using KPIs and project management tools.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Conduct steering committee meetings and provide regular status reports to senior leadership.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and business objectives.
- Coordinate vendor management and third-party delivery where applicable.
- Drive change management, user adoption, and business readiness activities.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, governance frameworks, and security policies.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking for projects.
- Manage dependencies across multiple programs and portfolios.

Required Skills & Experience

- 10+ years of overall IT experience.
- 5+ years of Project Management experience delivering banking projects.
- Strong experience within Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking, Investment Banking, or Digital Banking.
- Proven experience managing large-scale technology transformation programs.
- Excellent stakeholder and executive communication skills.
- Experience managing distributed and offshore delivery teams.
- Strong knowledge of project governance and PMO processes.
- Experience in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Jira
- Confluence
- MS Project
- Azure DevOps
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience managing project budgets, forecasts, RAID logs, and resource planning.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
