About The Role
Due to continued growth in the Northwest region, TSA Riley is seeking to appoint a Project Manager to strengthen their project management team.
We have 2 offices in the region, located in central Manchester and Bolton respectively. The successful candidate could work from either office based on preference.
This role presents an excellent opportunity to join a successful, expanding project management team, working with diverse clients across various projects within the built environment.
The position offers significant growth opportunities and exposure to a variety of services, including pre-construction, development management, and delivery-stage Project Management (PM) services.
Ideal candidates will have built a strong foundation of project management experience in a consultancy or client-facing environment, demonstrating expertise across multiple sectors. Responsibilities
Our Project Managers manage end-to-end project delivery—encompassing scope, budget, safety, and programme—they coordinate stakeholder inputs from consultants, contractors, and both internal and external teams.
Core Responsibilities:
- Ownership of project planning, procurement, coordination, and oversight of consultant inputs to ensure quality delivery and compliant results.
- Leadership in meetings, site coordination, management of project documentation, and relevant workstreams across assigned projects.
- Monitoring programme and cost performance, identifying deviations, and implementing corrective actions.
- Risk management—tracking risks, opportunities, and commercial factors while escalating critical issues proactively.
- Conflict resolution, mitigation of delays, and maintaining project momentum on schedule.
- Preparation of project reports, updates, and records using TSA Riley’s systems and templates.
- Clear, responsive communication with clients and delivery partners, maintaining transparent reporting and alignment.
- Client relationship management—managing expectations to ensure satisfaction and long-term trust.
- Collaboration with project teams to drive performance, share knowledge, and foster a positive team culture.
- Ensuring compliance with project risk, safety, and corporate standards during delivery phases.
- Contribution to proposals, sector initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements
Experience & Qualifications:
- Several years of post-qualification experience delivering construction-related projects exclusively in client-side or consulting environments (role excludes applicants from IT, marketing, or finance sectors).
- A tertiary qualification aligned to shaping or delivering built environment projects, such as Construction Project Management.
- Proven project management experience within the built environment sectors, particularly exposure to:
- Residential
- Retail
- Commercial
- Healthcare
- Leisure
- Industrial (or comparable sectors)
- Comprehensive knowledge of end-to-end project lifecycles, including procurement, design coordination, delivery, and contract administration.
- Flexibility and adaptability—experience in working across separated sectors, secondments, and public/private delivery contexts, embracing change.
- Digital proficiency—strong skills in reporting, tracking, and project documentation tools (e.g., hiQ Orchestr8, BIM, or similar).
- Demonstrated high quality work output, collaborative demeanour, and effective interpersonal abilities.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capacities to support project delivery excellence.
- Agile working skills with proven experience in cross-functional teamwork.
