Project Manager

Project Manager – Fire & Security

Better places, thriving communities

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of fire and security projects from contract award through to completion.

The role is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating assigned projects to ensure delivery to the highest professional standards while working closely with:

  • Clients
  • Engineering teams
  • Procurement
  • Subcontractors

You will ensure projects are delivered: ✅ Safely ✅ On time ✅ Within budget ✅ In line with contractual requirements

You will also support fellow Project Managers and contribute to overall team performance and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Financial Oversight

  • Conduct thorough contract reviews for allocated projects to ensure full understanding of:
    • Scope
    • Risks
    • Deliverables
  • Deliver projects on budget, maintaining strict financial control and accountability.
  • Manage Work in Progress (WIP), forecasts, and project reporting for accurate financial tracking.

Stakeholder & Client Engagement

  • Attend client and site meetings as a professional representative of the business.
  • Coordinate engineering teams and subcontractors to ensure:
    • Programme adherence
    • Meeting quality standards

Quality, Compliance & Development

  • Support subcontractor onboarding and development to strengthen operational capability.
  • Ensure timely submission of handover documentation for accurate invoicing.
  • Carry out site and product audits to ensure compliance with:
    • Company standards
    • Industry regulations

Health & Safety & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate project records and forecasting via:
    • Database management
    • Work bank management
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, including:
    • Preparation of Risk Assessments
    • Method Statements
    • Reporting of accidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences

About You

We are looking for a motivated and commercially aware Project Manager who demonstrates: 🔹 Energy and professionalism 🔹 A strong commitment to customer service

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a similar project management role, ideally in the fire or security sector.
  • Strong financial and commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and forecasts.
  • Excellent organisational skills to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to build effective relationships.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach, able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
  • A customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
