About the Company
We are a well-established Tier One contractor with a history dating back to 1798. For over 220 years, GRAHAM has been delivering lasting impact for our clients, proving our commitment to excellence.
Now, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Civil Engineering Division in East Anglia, focusing on a highways framework.
⚠️ A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Project Manager will:
- Undertake the management of all site staff
- Drive planning of projects from inception to completion
- Tender on and manage and control all project resources
- Be responsible for the overall management of the project
- Ensure compliance with all Company Procedures
- Uphold Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Procedures
- Ensure high standards of quality and workmanship on-site
- Monitor and control all project aspects effectively
- Deliver projects within programme and budget
- Ensure adherence to site-specific project protocols and procedures
- Manage and monitor subcontractors
- Communicate effectively with the project management team
- Liaise with clients and designers
- Attend and chair regular project progress meetings, compiling reports for the Client
- Attend and chair subcontractor meetings as required
- Compile and distribute minutes of all project meetings
- Maintain contractual records for all project-related matters
- Contribute to regular contract meetings with the Client
- Introduce improvements and innovations where appropriate
- Control contract costs
- Compile and submit O&M manuals upon project completion

Essential Criteria
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Civil Engineering, with a proven track record in managing large-scale projects
- Proficient in project planning, scheduling, and resource management
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methods, and project management software
- Ability to:
- Lead diverse teams
- Resolve conflicts
- Motivate team members
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for clear stakeholder interaction
- Ability to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Expertise in managing project budgets and controlling costs
