We Are Looking for a Project Manager – Coatings

We are looking for a Project Manager – Coatings to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. Acting as one of the principal KAEFER representatives for allocated coatings work packages at Hinkley Point C, you will be responsible for delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role combines operational leadership with commercial accountability, ensuring successful project execution while maintaining strong client relationships and driving continuous improvement.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Lead the safe, efficient and successful delivery of allocated coatings work packages, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, acting as a trusted partner throughout project delivery.
  • Drive planning, coordination and execution activities to ensure programme commitments are achieved and project risks are effectively managed.
  • Collaborate with operational, commercial and support teams to optimise resources, manage project performance and deliver commercial objectives.
  • Monitor project progress, costs and change events, ensuring accurate reporting, forecasting and contractual compliance.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and improve project outcomes.
  • Provide visible leadership to project teams, supporting performance, development and engagement.

What You Will Bring

  • Proven experience managing coatings projects or work packages within industrial services, construction, energy, engineering or related sectors.
  • Strong technical knowledge of coatings and surface protection activities, methodologies and industry standards.
  • Demonstrable project management experience with responsibility for programme delivery, commercial performance and stakeholder management.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, valuations and change management.
  • Experience working within client led project environments and managing multiple contractor interfaces.
  • Understanding of project controls, risk management and performance reporting.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams in operational environments.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives and applying LEAN principles is advantageous.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and decision making.
  • A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance.
