As a Project Manager Construction based in Rosyth, you’ll take ownership of delivering complex infrastructure, construction, and refurbishment projects within a tightly regulated and technically demanding environment. This role offers exciting opportunities to:

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Leading the end-to-end delivery of major construction projects, including planning, design, Risk, and completion.
  • Managing site activities, contractors, resources, materials, and quality assurance processes.
  • Establishing project governance frames, including reporting structures, risk management, and strategic stakeholder engagement.
  • Serving as the key liaison between clients, consultants, contractors, and internal delivery units.
  • Driving safety and compliance, ensuring adherence to HSE (Health & Safety, Security, Environmental, Quality) standards.
  • Maintaining robust financial control of project budgets and schedules.
  • Adhering to contractual frameworks (e.g., NEC, JCT, FIDIC contracts).

This position operates on a Rosyth site, with the standard 37-hour week.


Essential Experience

  • Proven experience leading construction projects throughout the entire lifecycle, from inception to delivery.
  • Expertise in managing site-based activities and coordinating subcontractors and quality control procedures.
  • Strong experience in regulated environments, with decisive governance and risk management skills.
  • Demonstrated commercial and fiscal leadership, including negotiating and managing contracts.
  • Exceptional interpersonal ability to cultivate and sustain relationships with diverse stakeholders in multidisciplinary settings.

Qualification Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or a relevant discipline.
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
  • A qualification from the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) or another recognised health and safety credential.
  • Hold a recognised project management qualifications, such as from the Association for Project Management (APM) or equivalent.
  • Membership (or aiming towards membership) of a professional institution like the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), or Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) is highly desirable.

Security Clearance

  • Attendance of this role necessitates achieving and maintaining SC (Security Check) clearance.
  • All candidates must meet eligibility criteria that may be influenced by nationality, residency history, and any further security vetting requirements.
