About the Role
Collins Aerospace is seeking a Project Manager – Customer Programmes to support the Mission Operations and Data Intelligence (MODI) business within the Battle Management, Command & Control and Networks (BMC2&N) organisation.
This hybrid role (based in Winnersh, Wokingham, UK) combines operational, strategic, and customer-facing accountability to ensure programme excellence, business growth, and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct programme execution from inception to completion, overseeing all phases of development and customer integration.
- Manage customer interfaces, ensuring specifications are met and programmes succeed on time and to budget.
- Control contract lifecycles—negotiation, proposals, budgets, contracts, and performance—while managing projects and subsystems within major programmes.
- Lead pursuit activities—developing change proposals, steering negotiations, and driving business plans with cross-functional teams.
- Coordinate internal reviews (e.g., gate reviews, plans) and coordinate compliance with internal policies.
- Align priorities, resolve conflicts, and implement milestone reviews with stakeholders.
- Ensure financial targets (bookings, sales, margins, cash flow) are achieved while holding Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Control Account Managers (CAMs) accountable.
- Inspire growth, including new business development, strategy alignment, and innovative problem-solving to meet evolving customer needs.
- Drive frequent customer engagements, including reviews, technical design meetings, and high-level policy dialogues.

Requirements
** Essentials**
- UK Security Clearance (SC) eligibility.
- ability to obtain requisite security clearance for UAE and Middle Eastern travel.
- Advanced degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
- Proven Programme/Project Management expertise (with Prince 2® or PMP certification).
- Demonstrated leadership of Integrated Project Teams (IPTs).
- 50% business travel (primarily to the UAE).
** Preferences**
- Experience in Government & Military acquisition and programme execution.
- Expertise in executive stakeholder briefings.
- Hands-on experience in training environments and engineering lab setup.
- Strong leadership skills, including:
- Influential customer-facing communications.
- Strategic thinking to cultivate innovation.
- Developing talent and driving customer-focused results.
