Project Manager (New Unit) – Siemens Energy
A Snapshot of Your Day
Step into a pivotal role as Project Manager at Siemens Energy, where you’ll lead multi-million-pound New Unit projects for key UK Waste to Energy and Industrial Decarbonisation clients.
- Act as the single point of contact throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery across the Industrial Steam Turbine and Generator portfolio
- Oversee client engagement, planning, and full project delivery and closeout
- Primary base in UK Siemens Energy offices with UK site travel included
- Focus on efficiency, time, cost, quality, and above all, safety
This role is ideal for an experienced project manager with a passion for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Manage the full lifecycle of high-value projects, ensuring alignment with:
- Contractual requirements
- Commercial and scheduling goals
- Budgetary constraints
- Safety and quality standards
- Serve as the single point of contact for clients, driving satisfaction throughout the project
- Coordinate cross-functional teams for:
- Installation
- Commissioning
- Commercial closeout
- Lead technical discussions on steam turbine power generation units (up to 250MW) to support decision-making and planning
- Collaborate with commercial project managers to:
- Monitor project progress
- Proactively resolve issues
- Ensure full contractual delivery
- Develop customer relationships and contribute to business growth targets
- Coach and mentor junior team members on project management best practices

What You Bring
- A degree (or equivalent), preferably in:
- Engineering
- Commercial fields
- A formal project management qualification
- Demonstrated experience in engineering project delivery, specifically in the:
- Steam turbine power generation market
- Proven track record in managing:
- Large, multidisciplinary projects
- (Bonus: experience with rotating equipment or turbomachinery)
- Proficiency in:
- ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
- Planning tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project)
- Strong commercial acumen with contract management experience
