Company Description
Fairmort Limited is recognised as a leading data migration services company within the financial services sector. Fairmort uses its own WILFm data migration tool that has been developed specifically to run data migrations for financial services clients. More than 50 core system replacement projects have been completed & due to the expansion of the existing teams we are looking for additional Project Managers to join the data migration services practice.
Role Description
The Project Manager – will co-ordinate end-to-end data migration projects for financial services clients, ensuring high-quality delivery within agreed timelines and budgets. This full-time hybrid role is based in the London or Birmingham area, United Kingdom, with flexibility for some work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Planning and coordinating migration activities
- Managing project schedules and resources
- Overseeing data mapping, validation, and reconciliation

The role involves working closely with clients, internal consultants, and technical teams to:

- Define requirements
- Manage risks and issues
- Ensure migration processes adhere to regulatory and security standards
The Project Manager will also:
- Prepare project documentation
- Provide status reports
- Conduct post-migration reviews to support continuous improvement of Fairmort’s migration methodologies and tools
Qualifications
- Strong project management skills, including Project Management experience and proven ability to manage scope, schedule, and stakeholders.
- Expediting-related skills, such as experience as an Expeditor and competence in Expediting activities to keep deliverables on track.
- Inspection-related skills, including experience with Inspection processes to support quality assurance in data migration and system implementation.
- Logistics management skills, including Logistics Management capabilities to coordinate resources, environments, and deployment activities.
- Experience managing data migration or system implementation projects in financial services or banking environments is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with core banking systems and data structures, and understanding of regulatory and reporting requirements in financial services, is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in handling complex data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and in a hybrid work setting.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., degree in IT, Finance, or related field; project management certifications such as PRINCE2 or PMP) are beneficial.
