Job Role: Project Manager

Working Arrangements

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (35 hours per week)
  • Hybrid working: Minimum of two days per week office-based
  • Flexible working: Happy to discuss
  • Location: Liverpool

Team Overview

Team: Project Management Office The team includes Project Managers, Business Analysts, QA Analysts, and a PMO Analyst. Projects vary in scale, averaging 20 active at any time, with budgets ranging from internal changes to £500,000+.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you’ll oversee projects from initiation to handover, ensuring adherence to governance, documentation and reporting standards.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery, ensuring business readiness and smooth BAU handover.
  • Define and governance projects in line with PMO standards, collaborating with the PMO Analyst.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to set scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Maintain detailed project plans aligned with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Manage third-party suppliers, including onboarding and oversight.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts/QA teams to capture requirements and define test approaches.
  • Allocate and manage resources, risks, issues, budgets, and dependencies.
  • Facilitate meetings (stand-ups, reviews, steering groups, and boards).
  • Produce clear reporting (weekly highlights + monthly board updates).
  • Track scope changes and re-plan timelines as needed.
  • Support business readiness, training, and user adoption with internal teams.
  • Conduct lessons learned sessions to drive PMO improvements.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Project Management (or equivalent delivery roles).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Knowledge of project delivery practices (planning, risk/issue management, governance).
  • Experience working with external suppliers and external delivery partners.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing ability across the organisation.
  • Organisational and problem-solving skills for prioritising competing demands.
  • Experience in budgeting and financial management.
  • Ability to lead meetings (steering groups/boards) with clear, structured project reporting.
  • Confidence to escalate issues and drive resolutions.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in legal/professional services environments.
  • Knowledge of legal systems (Aderant, Clio, Intapp, iManage).
  • Familiarity with PRINCE2, Agile or Lean methodologies.
  • Pragmatic approach to change management and business readiness.
  • Experience with PPM tools (e.g., Monday.com).
