Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Manager to oversee structural delivery projects from initial client purchase order through to final completion. This role is critical in ensuring client satisfaction, maintaining supplier relationships, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of structural delivery projects, from receipt of client purchase orders through to project completion, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and suppliers, working closely with internal design and procurement teams.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for repeat business and delivering best-in-class service.
  • Lead project management activities, ensuring effective coordination between internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and Procurement teams to ensure contracts, invoices, and payments are accurate and processed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and manage project records using internal systems (e.g., Navision/EV), including financial tracking and cost control.
  • Oversee project stages including design, procurement, inspection, and delivery to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Ensure all design and fabrication activities meet relevant Health & Safety, CDM, ISO 45001, and other applicable standards.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and master job lists in collaboration with procurement and engineering teams.
  • Track and report project status, including financial performance, risks, and progress.
  • Ensure all contractual obligations and supply commitments are fulfilled.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contract files and logs.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering teams to keep project job lists current and aligned with deadlines and priorities.
  • Monitor project timelines and proactively address any risks to delivery.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement of all materials, including placing orders and handling delivery documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company QA processes and documentation standards.
  • Monitor and manage fabricators and suppliers to ensure performance and quality expectations are met.
  • Oversee delivery note issuance and receipt tracking.
  • Schedule and coordinate inspections with fabricators and suppliers.
  • Monitor scope changes and produce contract variation documentation where required.
  • Maintain effective communication with the accounts team, including oversight of invoice monitoring systems.
  • Conduct structural inspections at supplier and fabricator sites.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in project management, ideally within structural, construction, or engineering environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience managing budgets, contracts, and supplier relationships
  • Familiarity with project management systems and financial tracking tools
  • Good understanding of health & safety and industry compliance standards
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
