About the role

HDR seeks a proactive, detail-oriented Project Manager Engineering Assistant to support every stage of high-impact engineering projects across our portfolio. As the linchpin of delivery, you’ll ensure projects stay on track, stakeholders are informed, and milestones are met.

You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams (from conception through close-out), acting as both coordinator and enabler, while reporting to a Project Manager.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate broadly: Act as a gluing force across single- and multispecialty teams throughout the project lifecycle—intrinsic from initiation through close-out—under the guidance of a Project Manager.
  • Deliver key outcomes: Take ownership of small projects or specific facets of larger initiatives, ensuring timely, budget-conscious completion alongside operational goals.
  • Execute with precision: Organise workloads across active projects, adhering strictly to schedules—whether revamping scheduling systems or directing detailed project timelines.
  • Partner across functions: Align with Project Management, Accounting, Operations, and senior leadership teams during interval progress reviews.
  • Leverage technical versatility: Apply foundational engineering principles as needed to assist critical design deliverables.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent field).
  • Experience: Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience, including:
    • Direct, hands-on technical experience in Data Centre projects.
  • Technical proficiency: Intermediate or advanced use of:
    • MS Office
    • Excel for project tracking and analysis.
    • Project Management software (beyond Excel).
