Arriva TrainCare – Bristol Barton Hill TMD

37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday

We’re looking for a motivated and organised Project Manager to join our team at our Bristol Barton Hill depot. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering a variety of projects across our maintenance and facilities operations.

You’ll be working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you’ll take ownership of projects from start to finish, ensuring they’re delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard for our customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Project Manager, you’ll lead projects through their full lifecycle – from initial planning right through to successful delivery and handover.

You’ll

  • Manage a range of projects across heavy maintenance, light maintenance, and facilities
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, customers, and suppliers
  • Create and maintain project plans to keep everything on track
  • Oversee budgets, forecasting, and project performance
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and project changes
  • Lead project meetings and drive actions through to completion
  • Produce clear reports and performance updates
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and help drive efficiencies
  • Contribute to operational planning, including capacity and pipeline activity

What We’re Looking For

We’re keen to hear from individuals who are proactive, organised, and confident working with a wide range of stakeholders.

You’ll Ideally Have

  • Experience in a Project Coordinator, Project Administrator, or Project Manager role
  • A background in engineering, manufacturing, rail, or a similar operational environment (desirable)
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of the business
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Experience with project planning tools (e.g. Microsoft Project – desirable)

Qualifications

  • Project management qualification (APM, PRINCE2, or similar) – essential
  • Lean / Six Sigma knowledge – desirable
  • Leadership or management training – a bonus
