About the Role
We’re growing our Environmental Project Management team and excited to welcome several Project Managers into our Project, Programme Management and PMO community.
In this Project Manager role, you’ll play an important part in delivering multi-disciplinary environmental projects, working closely with Senior Project Managers and Technical Leads to keep projects safe, on track, and within budget. You’ll gain exposure to a varied and meaningful portfolio across the UK, supporting both public and private sector clients.
Our team spans PMO, Project Controls, Project Management and Project Director roles, working across every stage of the project lifecycle. You’ll have the chance to take ownership of smaller projects, while also supporting on larger programmes and portfolios, giving you the breadth and experience to grow your career.
Beyond project delivery, there’s scope to:

Your New Role: What’s Involved?
- Support project proposal development by defining:
- Project requirements
- Scope
- Resourcing
- Programme and budget for successful delivery
- Create and maintain:
- Clear, well-structured project documentation, including:
- Project plans
- Cost forecasts
- Risk registers
- Schedules
- Take ownership of smaller projects
- Support Senior Project Managers on larger, more complex work
- Clear, well-structured project documentation, including:
- Monitor project progress actively to:
- Keep projects on track
- Drive delivery against agreed timelines
- Manage project costs, including:
- Tracking time, budgets, forecasts, and spend
- Ensuring alignment with project progress
- Ensure health and safety requirements for site visits, including securing necessary internal approvals
- Support contract management and administration to:
- Keep projects running smoothly and compliantly
- Proactively manage change and risk, in collaboration with technical teams, to:
- Ensure projects stay aligned with scope, contractual requirements, and governance standards
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to:
- Coordinate
- Develop colleagues, partners, and suppliers
- Champion environmental outcomes, supporting:
- Sustainability, future-ready, and net zero ambitions across projects
- Build strong relationships with:
- Colleagues
- Clients
- Stakeholders
- Opportunities to:
- Represent the Environment and Consents team
- Act as the trusted point of contact

Requirements: What We’ll Be Looking for
- Experience working as an:
- Assistant Project Manager
- Project Manager Within a project or PMO environment, preferably in environmental or sustainability sectors
- Good understanding of programme management principles, including:
- Work breakdown structures
- Dependencies
- Critical path
- Ability to interpret outputs from tools such as:
- MS Project
- Primavera P6 (or similar)
- Commercial awareness with skills in:
- Managing budgets
- Tracking performance
- Supporting effective change control
- Delivering projects within budget
- Familiarity with Professional Services Contracts (e.g., NEC3/NEC4) would be advantageous
- Confident communication skills—written and verbal—to:
- Share key information clearly
- Keep project teams and stakeholders informed
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., PMI, APM, MIEnvSc, MIEMA, MRICS) or working towards accreditation
- An interest in the environment and/or sustainable land development, plus:
- A positive, proactive approach
- Genuine desire to grow your career
