Project Manager (Exhibition Stands)
Job Title: Project Manager (in the Exhibition Stand sector) Location: Macclesfield, Cheshire with travel UK wide and internationally on occasion Hours: Mon-Fri 9-5:30 although you will be required to handover stands at exhibitions which occasionally take place on evenings and weekends Salary: £35-40k + Bonus & Benefits

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organised Project Manager specialising in exhibition stands. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of exhibition projects, ensuring that client expectations are met or exceeded. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a creative environment, liaising with diverse teams and clients to deliver outstanding exhibition displays. The ideal applicant will possess excellent communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and experience in the live events sector. This is a dynamic role that requires excellent communication skills, time management, and meticulous planning.
Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end management of exhibition stand projects, from initial concept through to installation, dismantling and storage. Coordinate with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions including system-based, hybrid & custom builds that maximise impact. Oversee the design, production, and logistics of exhibition stands, ensuring timely delivery within budget. Provide on-site management and troubleshoot any issues that may arise Upsell additional services or enhancements e.g. Barista coffee, Food, stand engagement such as VR, kinetic walls and challenges to maximise engagement, client satisfaction and project value. Source and coordinate logistics including catering, IT / audiovisual equipment, & transportation Manage project timelines effectively, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines without compromising quality. Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of all project phases. Maintain detailed project documentation and reports for internal review and client updates. Provide exceptional guest services during exhibitions, ensuring visitors’ needs are addressed promptly and professionally. Organise resources efficiently across multiple projects whilst maintaining high standards of organisation throughout all stages.

Requirements Proven experience in project management, preferably within exhibition, live event organisation, hospitality, or experiential sectors. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with clients, suppliers, and team members at all levels. Demonstrable skills in upselling additional services or products to enhance client satisfaction and revenue opportunities. Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently across various projects which on occasion will require national and international travel including evenings and weekend work. Experience in guest services or hospitality environments is desirable. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a proactive approach to problem-solving. Knowledge of exhibition design principles and logistics is advantageous but not essential.
