We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Project Manager to join our Rail team on the Flitwick / Mill Hill Broadway project supporting the delivery of a range of exciting schemes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to further develop their skills and take on increasing levels of responsibility.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring achievement of scope, programme, cost, quality, safety, and commercial objectives in line with the Perfect Delivery philosophy.
- Provide leadership and direction across design, engineering, construction, and handover, motivating internal teams, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Implement robust risk, value engineering, and cost control processes to identify and manage risks, opportunities, and efficiencies.
- Maintain full accountability for health, safety, environment, sustainability, and quality, championing continuous improvement and compliance.
- Manage and challenge project budgets and forecasts, ensuring accurate financial control, reporting, and optimal use of resources.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring high-quality delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure all works are designed, built, evaluated, and certified to statutory, contractual, and company standards.
- Review and approve project plans, including project management, health, and safety, environmental, and safe methods of work plans.
- Drive performance against financial and operational targets, contributing to business planning, growth opportunities, and bid activity.
- Coach, develop, and manage project teams, addressing performance and supporting the development of key talent.

Skills, Experience And Qualifications
- Degree or HNC/HND qualified in a relevant technical or construction-related discipline.
- Strong understanding of the construction industry, customer service environments, and project delivery processes.
- Sound knowledge of legislative and statutory compliance, including employment law, health & safety, and environmental regulations.
- Proven commercial awareness, with experience assessing value, managing variations, and understanding project financial performance.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate teams and drive exacting standards of performance and compliance.
- Excellent organisational, planning, and time-management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities without compromising quality.
- Ability to ensure technical standards, specifications, and contractual requirements are consistently met.
- Effective collaborator, able to work across business units and with senior management to set and deliver operational and project targets.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and communication skills, with the ability to present robust business cases to senior stakeholders.
