Client Facing Project Manager – Xceptor
About Xceptor
Data is at the heart of everything we do: Xceptor has been designed around data manipulation in its broadest sense. We source data from wherever it flows. We curate, normalise, validate, repair, and enrich that data so it reaches its destination in a reliable and consistent format. Data coming out of Xceptor is data our clients can trust.
We are recognised as an expert in the Financial Services vertical, which strongly aligns with Business Users in Middle and Back-Office teams. We enable these users to solve their data challenges by themselves, rather than through a technology-led project.
Our mission is to empower business users within financial institutions to build automated processes that deliver trusted data.
Our values are:
- Client Centricity
- One Team
- Impactful
🚀 Your Role
We are looking for an experienced client-facing Project Manager within our Client Delivery team to manage the delivery of a variety of projects across all our products and value propositions for new and existing global clients. These clients use Xceptor to support their digital transformation across a broad range of data and process automation use cases. We are a FinTech company, and, as a key member of the team, you will run a portfolio of projects across banking, capital markets, financial services, and insurance clients.
Reporting to our Manager, Project Management, the role will suit someone with a creative and innovative mindset who has the ability to drive forward their ideas. You’ll want to be part of a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and forward-thinking organisation, with a real opportunity to help shape the future of the Delivery team and Xceptor as its growth story continues.
🧩 What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing the delivery of Client Implementations, including all phases of client onboarding (project initiation, infrastructure enablement, product delivery, platform integration, acceptance, migration, and go-live), ensuring adherence to governance frameworks.
- Managing multiple financial services projects in parallel, including:
- New Xceptor deployments
- System upgrades
- Hybrid advisory/consulting services (in line with flexible delivery options)
- Collaborating closely with:
- Clients, strategic partners, their own project managers, business users, and technical teams, to deliver project objectives.
- Adapting to our clients’ challenges to provide insights on how Xceptor solutions can support their needs both inside and outside projects.
- Leading full project governance, from initiation through to closure, which includes:
- Planning, scheduling, executing, and monitoring projects.
- Managing stakeholders, scope, risk, change, quality, and budget.
- Ensuring alignment between Xceptor’s approach and the client’s own delivery practices.
- Reporting project status: Internally and externally via agreed-upon methods, formats, and frequencies, including daily stand-ups and steering committee meetings.
- Developing and maintaining strong Xceptor product knowledge to act as a trusted adviser to clients, coordinating with strategic partners for seamless integration and maximising platform value.
- Monitoring and reporting on monthly revenue performance against planned project work, addressing variances to keep projects commercially on track.
- Managing project resource allocation to ensure team members are optimally assigned and utilised across the project lifecycle.
- Demonstrating willingness to expand product knowledge to guide clients through successful implementations and identifying opportunities to extend platform value beyond initial engagements.
- Working closely with the PMO to ensure alignment with governance, standards, and reporting requirements, providing oversight on their involvement in project delivery.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
