CNX Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected construction contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality projects across Scotland.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of multiple construction projects from pre-construction through to completion.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with clients, commercial teams, site management, and subcontractors, you will lead projects throughout their lifecycle while maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage construction projects from inception through to handover.
  • Develop and monitor project programmes, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Lead site teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely and efficiently.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
  • Monitor project progress and identify solutions to maintain programme.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide regular progress updates.
  • Work closely with the commercial team to manage costs, variations, and project profitability.
  • Chair project meetings and prepare project reports.
  • Ensure quality standards are achieved throughout the construction process.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry.
  • Proven track record delivering commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, or public sector projects.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and programmes.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction project management software.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • SMSTS.
  • CSCS Black or Manager's Card.
  • First Aid at Work.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualification (desirable).
