Project Manager for Crypto & Security Competence Center (m/f/d)
Project Manager – Crypto and Security, NXP
We are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the Project Management Office (PMO) for the Competence Center for Crypto and Security, a central organization within NXP driving and developing security solutions.
As a Project Manager, you will act as a key representative of the Crypto and Security Group in Product Development Teams, coordinating all security-related activities and ensuring clear communication of schedules, risks, and issues for timely resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Crypto and Security Group Representative in Product Development projects from concept to security certification, tracking all security-related activities.
- Support Product Development Teams in applying the Competence Center for Crypto and Security Project Methodology.
- Lead and facilitate global cross-functional project calls to drive progress and resolve security issues.
- Serve as the primary escalation contact for security-related issues.
- Write Security Group Reports for Project Milestone Reviews.
- Develop detailed project plans with milestones, timelines, and ownership responsibilities.
- Ensure security goals are met and project plans remain on track.
- Identify, challenge, and mitigate security risks proactively.

Key Requirements
Education & Background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Security Engineering, or Computer Engineering (preferred).
Professional Experience & Skills
- Solid experience in project management, ideally within the semiconductor industry.
- Demonstrated proactive and solution-oriented management approach.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of embedded system design and architectural definitions.
- Preferable knowledge of security concepts and standards:
- ISO 21434 (Road Vehicles – Cybersecurity Engineering)
- IEC 62443 (Industrial communication networks security)
- Cryptography principles.
Soft Skills & Cultural Fit
- Strong analytical and systematic thinking, with familiarity in complex environments.
- Proven management skills – a team player who can track project status accurately.
- Flexibility, ability to remain calm under pressure, and comfort in managing ambiguity.
- Willingness to travel as needed (typically 1-2 times per year).

For Gratkorn, Austria
- Market-competitive compensation, benchmarked to the electronic/semiconductor industry.
- Following Austrian Equal Treatment Act, this position (full-time) falls under Employment Group V (after 6 years) per the collective bargaining agreement, *“Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Gewerbe und Handwerk und in der Dienstleistung“**.
