Project Manager Required

Overview

Project Manager required for a medium-sized building contractor, for a high-rise facade remediation project.

The Project Manager's place of work will be in the Stoke Newington Head Office.

Responsibilities

Within the maintenance department, the PM in question will:

  • Liaise with high-profile clients on a daily basis
  • Receive and go through scope of works
  • With support from the QS, quote and tender for pre-planned maintenance works (PPMs)

Once the project is live, which could value anywhere between GBP 20k to GBP 500k, the PM is to manage the project from beginning to end, with full commercial control and management of subcontractors.

Essential Requirements

  • 3 to 4 years of construction experience
  • Quoting/tendering experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Good and proven negotiation skills
  • Proactive and able to use own initiative
  • Problem-solving skills and experience to be familiar with CDM regs
  • Reasonable technical understanding
  • Reasonable commercial management experience
  • Reasonable subcontractor management experience

Project Info

  • Location: Basildon, Essex
  • Duration: 12-15 months
  • Remit: Remove existing facade to all elevation, remove non-fire rated insulation and replace with fire-rated insulation, add additional cavity barriers, and reinstate all facade types like for like

Duties Include

  • Writing and managing the program of facade remediation
  • Site communications among subcontractors and site staff
  • Quality Assurance
  • Overseeing Design drawings and liaising with third-party stakeholders, architects, etc.
  • Liaising with the client
  • Visiting site once a week (Basildon)

Salary

This role is paying between GBP 50,000 and GBP 60,000 annual salary.
